What is a Studio Tour?
If you have ever wanted to see the working studio of a professional artist; wanted to add to or begin an art collection; wanted learn about artist’s materials or just wanted to see a wide variety of fine art, then the Western Wake Artists Studio Tour is for you. The Studio Tour began in 2009 as a united effort by 26 artists. The artists wanted to raise the awareness of the public at large concerning the quality of art that was being created in Western Wake County. We are happy to invite you to the expanded 2010 tour.

We, the artists invite you to take a driving tour. The event is free. The map is provided HERE and at each studio. Choose artists that you would like visit, locate them on the map and drop by their studio during the Studio Tour hours. Visitors may view artwork in the form of paintings, collages, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, photography, wood turning and more.

Many artists demonstrate their craft and all are ready to explain their processes. Each artist will gladly welcome your questions and appreciate that you took the time to help celebrate the arts in our communities.

This group promotes arts in the community to inform and educate.
