Apex Chamber Of Commerce

I was fortunate to attend the 2009 Apex Chamber of Commerce Business Expo.  I met many of my friends from the Holly Springs Leads Group.  I walked around and introduced myself to many new folks too!

I met a potential lead for the Girl Scout troop I co-lead.  The Brown Bag Ministry is a wonderful organization.
Brown Bag Ministry prepares and distributes 1,000 brown bag lunches to the homeless.

I also spoke with a representative from the Kiwanis Club.  They have a program called 3rd Grade Dictionaries.  My daughter’s school PTA pays only .50¢ for a dictionary.  Each 3rd grader will have their own dictionary to take home.  I was praising the organization and the representative asked me what my company was.  I told him of Your Door & More.  The man, Bob, whispered, stating this was his volunteer job but had something else that he holds dear to his heart; New Hope Valley Railway.  Bob is a volunteer and a trainman at heart.  He is looking for an illustrator to draw the locomotives and cars to use on flyers and brochures to note cards for sale in the museum store.  A local company is able to etch illustrations on glassware.  I was very excited to be considered!  I am meeting him on Saturday to take some photographs!

You just never know where things lead you!
